Cloud engineering · Businesses & MSPs

Build the cloud your team can operate.

Hands-on design, build, migration, and ongoing management across AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, IONOS, and Microsoft 365, plus the Linux and Windows Server environments that run on them. We do the work, not just the plan.

What we work on

Cloud foundations, with the operational details included.

Bring us into a focused technical problem or a broader change program. The engagement is tailored to your environment and agreed priorities.

01

Architecture

Review or design cloud foundations around workloads, dependencies, and business needs. Make the trade-offs explicit before committing to a design.

Environment structure, network boundaries, connectivity, workload placement, and operating responsibilities.

02

Migrations

Plan and execute changes with a defined sequence, validation checks, and a rollback approach. Account for the systems and people that depend on each workload.

Discovery, dependency mapping, migration planning, cutover coordination, and post-move validation.

03

Identity and access

Review who can access what, how privileges are assigned, and where identity connects across environments. Build access decisions into the architecture.

Role design, privileged access, service identities, authentication requirements, and Microsoft 365 identity dependencies.

04

Resilience

Translate recovery needs into practical design and operating decisions. Review failure paths, backup dependencies, and recovery procedures against the agreed scope.

Recovery objectives, backup and restore planning, availability considerations, and agreed recovery validation.

05

Documentation

Capture the technical picture and the decisions behind it so the environment is understandable beyond the project team.

Architecture diagrams, configuration records, dependency notes, decision logs, and operating runbooks.

06

Support-ready handoffs

Prepare your internal team or MSP to take ownership with context—not just credentials. Walk through the changes, open issues, and next actions.

Ownership boundaries, support procedures, knowledge transfer, outstanding risks, and agreed acceptance checks.

Engagement scope

Agree on the boundaries before the work begins.

Scoping establishes what is in scope, what is not, who approves changes, and what completion looks like. Work is planned around your team's access requirements and change process.

Environment and dependencies

Identify workloads, tenants, connectivity, identity dependencies, and the teams or third parties involved.

Access and authorization

Confirm authorized activities, required access, responsible owners, and approval points before making changes.

Change and validation

Agree on maintenance windows, migration stages, rollback decisions, validation checks, and acceptance criteria.

Ownership and exclusions

Document responsibilities, handoff expectations, and any ongoing operations or support that require a separate agreement.

What you receive

Engineering your team can pick up and use.

Deliverables are agreed during scoping. Depending on the engagement, these may include:

  • A working environment, migrated or newly built, cut over and verified
  • Hardened Linux and Windows servers, including Azure virtual machines
  • Identity and access configured, including Microsoft Entra ID and Entra Domain Services
  • Configuration records your team can maintain
  • A tested backup and restore
  • A clean handoff to your administrators, with optional ongoing management after the project ends

For MSP partners

Your client relationship. A stronger technical bench.

Red Shift can work alongside your delivery team on architecture reviews, migrations, remediation, and complex cloud projects. You retain the client relationship; we agree on communication, approvals, and technical responsibilities up front.

The handoff is part of the work.

Documentation and knowledge transfer are planned into delivery so your team has the context to support what changes. Ongoing management is available after the project ends and is scoped as a separate agreement.

Start with the technical picture

Bring the cloud project into focus.

Tell us what you are changing, where the uncertainty is, and who will operate the environment afterward. We can discuss the scope, dependencies, and a practical path forward.
